Exploring the Archipelago, Wanadri Goes to IKN

PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - A number of members of the Wanadri nature lovers organization will cycle to the National Capital (IKN) in East Kalimantan.

As a series of activities, the gowesers go around the city of Bandung first.

"This is a celebration of Wanadri's 60th birthday. We are the Go 5,000 km team. We have reached 5,000 kilometers, according to yesterday's target. This is one of our thanksgivings," said the Chief Executive of Bandung Joyriding Jelajah Nusantara Ocim, at Zero Point Bandung City Kilometers, Saturday (20/7/2024)

The aim of Goes ti IKN is to hold the Republic of Indonesia Birthday Flag ceremony at IKN on August 17.

"IKN was chosen because it is officially the capital. There I wanted to feel the atmosphere of IKN and deliberately celebrated August 17," he said.

This activity, which will be attended by 80 participants, is planned to arrive at IKN on August 16 and will follow the flag ceremony on August 17.

"The target is from Bandung City to IKN for 14 days," he said.

He said that this activity was held as a promotion that Indonesia is beautiful and suitable as a cycling destination.

"This deserves to be recognized by the public, apart from its friendly citizens, we want to tell the story that Indonesia is vast and suitable for cyclists," he said.

Acting Mayor of Bandung Bambang Tirtoyuliono prayed for the participants to reach their destination safely.

Apart from that, he also revealed that the city of Bandung is a service city and has tourism potential, so he invited the participants to simultaneously promote the city of Bandung.

"That the city of Bandung is a series of boring activities. That the city of Bandung is branding tourism and services, so later every route can be promoted," he said.

He also appealed to the participants to always protect the environment by throwing away rubbish.

"Because there has been a waste emergency, we must be orderly and also educate and care about the environment," he said.
