PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - The Garut District Government has introduced the theme and logo for the 211th Anniversary of Garut Regency which will be commemorated on February 16 2024.

Carrying the theme in Sundanese, namely "Nu Datang Mawa Bagja, Nu Miang Mugia Waluya", has the meaning of the hope of the people of Garut that leaders who come will be happy and leaders who are full-time will always be in the safety and protection of God Almighty.

The Garut Anniversary Logo (HJG) is in the form of the number 211, representing Garut Regency with the color green symbolizing the natural riches of mountains, jungles and agro.

The curved white dividing line depicts the dynamic development of Garut's creative economy products, while the star symbol is interpreted as the god-fearing people of Garut.

The color purple creates an image of imagination and faith, and inner and outer unity. Then the color magenta is interpreted as balance, common sense and practicality.

The yellow-orange gradation symbolizes innovation, the spirit of renewal and openness, while the blue color itself symbolizes universality, peace and steadfastness.

This logo is equipped with a Garutan batik motif ornament under the number 211 which means that Garut is rich in cultural-based resources.

Head of the Tourism Marketing Division of the Garut Regency Tourism and Culture Service (Disparbud), Aam Fathullah hopes that the HJG commemorative logo can be an effective tool to strengthen identity, build pride as a Garut citizen in celebrating its 211th anniversary.

"The main series of HJG commemorations that will be held include a pilgrimage to the grave of Garut's ancestor RAA. Adiwidjaja at and holding the Garut Anniversary Flag Ceremony and Garut Regency DPRD Plenary Meeting," said Aam.

Apart from that, said Aam, the Garut Regional Government through the Disparbud will also hold Garut arts and cultural performances whose schedule will be adjusted to the national agenda, namely the 2024 General Election and the Holy Month of Ramadan 1445 H.
