PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government (Pemdakab) officially launched the "Bekasi Regency Asih ka Indung" Movement, at the Wibawa Mukti Building, Bekasi Regency Government Complex, Friday (11/4/2025).
This movement is a form of support for the "Jabar Nyaah ka Indung" program initiated by the West Java Provincial Government.
This activity was attended by 270 mothers who were beneficiaries, and was marked by the commitment of all regional officials to make the social program based on awareness and concern for the important role of women, especially mothers, a success in regional development.
The Bekasi District Government has taken concrete steps by launching a program targeting women over 40 years of age as beneficiaries.
Bekasi Regent Ade Koswara Kunang, in his speech, expressed his hope that the "Bekasi Regency Asih ka Indung" program can run smoothly and become a joint commitment for regional officials.
"Hopefully we as officials carry it out every month, every year. This is a form of charity and awareness to share," he said.
He emphasized that this program is not only a structural responsibility, but also a form of practicing religious and social values in everyday life.
"We have done what charity is and carried out the teachings of our respective religions. That doing good helps those in need, lightens the burden of society, especially mothers," he said.
Ade also instructed all sub-district heads to socialize this program to village heads and sub-district heads, and encourage their active participation in its implementation.
He emphasized that the form of assistance in this program is voluntary and has no nominal limit, according to the ability and awareness of each party.
Head of the Bekasi Regency Social Service, Hasan Basri explained that the launch of this movement is a real form of regional commitment to supporting women's empowerment programs.
The aim is not only to increase public awareness of the position of mothers in the family and regional development, but also to build synergy between stakeholders and encourage active participation from state civil servants, communities, institutions, and regional apparatus.
"Participants in the launch of the Bekasi Regency Asih ka Indung movement consist of all echelons II, IIIa, and IIIb throughout Bekasi Regency, BUMD, and Baznas. Until now, the donations that have been collected have reached IDR 67 million and will be distributed to 270 mothers who attended today's activity," he said.
With the launch of the "Bekasi Regency Asih ka Indung Movement", the Bekasi Regency Government hopes to build a culture of mutual cooperation and sustainable social concern, especially in strengthening the role of mothers as pillars of the family and agents of development.
Through synergy between state civil apparatus, society, institutions, and regional apparatus, this program is expected to create a more inclusive, women-friendly, and responsive environment to gender equality issues, while strengthening religious and humanitarian values in society.
