Garut Regency Ready to Depart 2,003 Prospective Hajj Pilgrims in 2024

PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - Garut Regency stated that it is ready to send 2,003 prospective pilgrims to carry out the Hajj pilgrimage in 1445 Hijriah.

This readiness was expressed by the Head of the Garut Regency Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) Office, Saepulloh after holding a meeting to prepare for the departure of the Hajj pilgrims in 1445 H/2024 AD.

The meeting took place in the Garut Regency Ministry of Religion Office Hall, Jalan Pahlawan Pahlawan, Tarogong Kidul District, Garut Regency (23/4/2024).

For smooth departure, his party is ready to serve prospective Hajj pilgrims with five flying groups (kloter) and supported by 40 Hajj officers.

The departure schedule for prospective Hajj pilgrims has been determined, starting from May 10 2024 to June 5 2024 from the Garut Pendopo Building. Saepulloh emphasized his party's commitment to providing the best service to prospective Hajj pilgrims, with the hope that they can undergo the Hajj pilgrimage smoothly, well and in a conducive manner.

"So that prospective pilgrims feel comfortable, peaceful, conducive, happy, so that with happiness in their hearts, they will focus on worshiping to carry out the pillars of the Hajj, the obligatory Hajj, and the Sunnah of the Hajj," he continued.

In order to run the Hajj smoothly this year, his party held a meeting to hear various discussions, starting from parking arrangements, orderly introduction of prospective Hajj pilgrims, as well as limits on the number of representatives allowed to enter the Garut Pendopo area.

All input will be used as guidelines to improve service quality and safety during the departure process.

Saepulloh expressed the hope that the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage would run smoothly and successfully.

He also invited all committees, local governments and the community to continue to support and pray for a smooth pilgrimage for all prospective pilgrims.

"On behalf of the committee, on behalf of the regional government, all levels of society will certainly pray that the 2024 Haj pilgrimage will be smooth, successful, and good," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Assistant for Government and People's Welfare (Pemkesra) of the Regional Secretariat of Garut Regency, Bambang Hafidz, conveyed that the collaboration between the regional government, the Garut Regency Ministry of Religion Office, and the Hajj Guidance Group (KBIH) was a joint effort to ensure that the departure of the Hajj pilgrims went smoothly, including the provision of buses. and consumption of prospective Hajj pilgrims during the trip.

"Therefore, collaboration from all parties is to create a good Hajj departure, better than last year," said Bambang.

According to Bambang, a comprehensive evaluation had been carried out on the organization of the previous year's Hajj departures.

The results of this evaluation are used as a basis for improving all aspects that need to be improved, including security, traffic flow and comfort for prospective pilgrims during the journey.

"We hope that all officers, whether from regional government elements or other elements, can work to serve the congregation there, and there (Saudi Arabia) of course there is management from the Ministry of Religion," said Bambang.

2. Group 16 Batch 1 departs from Pendopo Garut on May 16 2024 at 18.30 WIB
3. Group 31 Batch 2 departs from Pendopo Garut on May 24 2024 at 18.30 WIB
4. Group 39 Batch 2 departs from Pendopo Garut on May 29 2024 at 02.30 WIB
