PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java People's Struggle Monument (Monju) has been inaugurated as an open space for the public. The return of this area is a New Year's gift for people who want to spend the New Year holiday in Bandung City.

At the moment of the inauguration, Acting Mayor of Bandung Bambang Tirtoyuliono welcomed the revitalization of the Struggle Monument area positively. According to him, this public space can be used by tourists from both Bandung City and outside Bandung City to enjoy the atmosphere of Bandung City.

Even so, Bambang advised that aspects of beauty, cleanliness and order must be the main things to pay attention to.

"From the Bandung City Government, we will also immediately coordinate. We will regulate street vendors selling here, regarding parking lots, immediately," said Bambang, Thursday (28/12/2023).

He hopes that all parties will work together to maintain this area so that it remains beautiful, comfortable and can be enjoyed by all visitors.

The revitalization of the West Java People's Struggle Monument was inaugurated by the Acting (Pj) Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin. In his speech, he advised the entire community to take advantage of this public space.

"Here there is a children's play area, an amphitheater and other spaces. I hope all parties can maintain it," said Bey.

He also said that Monju in Bandung City is one of the best. Therefore, all parties are asked to take special care regarding cleanliness in this area.

"Please maintain cleanliness. Don't throw rubbish carelessly," he said.

The West Java People's Struggle Monument is located on Jalan Dipati Ukur No. 48, Bandung City. The location is opposite Gedung Sate and in front of the Padjadjaran University (Unpad) campus, Bandung City.

This monument stands on a land area of ± 72,040 square meters and a building area of ± 2,143 square meters. The building model is in the form of sharpened bamboo combined with a modern architectural style. The West Java People's Struggle Monument was first inaugurated by the Governor of West Java, R.
