PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency National Unity and Politics Agency encourages students to be politically active through quality democratic education (12/8/2026).

Acting Head of the National Unity and Politics Agency of Bekasi Regency, Robet Suwandi, delivered this message in the Political Inspiration Class Phase IV.

The event, themed "Preparing the Golden Generation of Democracy," took place at the IAIN KH. Noer Alie Bekasi Hall and was attended by local students.

The activity featured speakers from the Directorate General of Politics and General Government of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD), the General Elections Commission (KPU), and Kesbangpol.

Robert said that students have a strategic position as agents of change, social control, and future leaders of the nation.

"Students must not be apathetic toward political developments. Politics is not just about elections or power struggles, but rather an instrument for achieving social welfare through public policies that favor the people's interests," said Robet.

According to him, a healthy democracy requires intelligent, polite, and responsible public participation through various channels that comply with regulations.

This participation includes the wise use of voting rights, conveying constructive aspirations, student organizations, and government oversight.

Robert also reminded students to confront hoaxes, hate speech, provocation, and disinformation that could disrupt community unity.

"The younger generation must become pioneers of digital literacy by getting into the habit of verifying information before sharing it, respecting differences of opinion, and maintaining ethical behavior on social media," he said.

The Bekasi Regency Kesbangpol provides political education to the younger generation so that they can become intelligent, critical, tolerant, and responsible citizens.

Robert hopes that the Political Inspiration Class will improve students' understanding of democracy, national insight, and the rights and obligations of citizens.

"We also hope that students will come up with innovative ideas to support the development of quality democracy in Bekasi Regency," he said.

He invited students to use the activity as a space for discussion, exchanging ideas, broadening their horizons, and expressing their views in a polite manner.

"Hopefully, the knowledge gained today will be a foundation for building leadership with integrity and making a real contribution to the progress of Bekasi Regency, which will rise, progress, and prosper," he concluded.
