PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Logistics distribution for the grand election on February 14 in Bandung City is starting to run.
A total of 29 trucks which were closely guarded by the police carried 94 logistics to be distributed to electoral districts 1 and 2.
Over the next seven days, the Bandung City KPU will distribute election logistics (2/2/2024) which will be distributed to 2 electoral districts using as many as 29 cars.
Seeing this, the Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono, is optimistic that the elections in Bandung City can run in conducive, safe and peaceful conditions. Apart from that, there will be a distribution schedule from the sub-district logistics warehouse to sub-districts and polling places (TPS).
"This will be no later than H-1. So far we have prepared everything, KPPS has also been formed. Support from TNI and Polri colleagues has been extraordinary to keep everything in a controlled and safe condition," he said.
Regarding damaged logistics, Bambang said, the amount was not very significant and was still in a controlled condition.
"But we always try to take anticipatory steps. This includes the potential for damage during distribution," he added.
Responding to this, the Chair of the Bandung City KPU, Wenti Frihadianti, admitted that he continues to coordinate with the sub-district head, Panwascam and PPK to ensure preparation of logistics warehouses in their respective areas.
"We chose electoral districts 1 and 2 because they are the furthest away and in terms of quantity the final voter list (DPT) is larger. More or less, 94 logistics are carried in one truck," said Wenti.
To anticipate logistics damage during distribution during the rainy season, the KPU provides tarpaulins and fire extinguishers in the logistics warehouse.
"There is also a light fire extinguisher (APAR) in the warehouse. We also use tarpaulin to anticipate logistics being damaged due to rain. Hopefully this logistics distribution activity can run safely," he hoped.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Bandung Police Operations Section, AKBP Sumari, added that to secure the distribution and selection process on the day, his party would deploy 904 personnel.
