PORTALJABAR, TASIKMALAYA CITY - Community empowerment activities "Pos PaOgah" or Waste Management and Planting of Family Medicinal Plants by a group of Siliwangi University Public Health students were carried out at the Ikhwatul Mu'minin Madrasah, Kahuripan Village, Tawang District, Tasikmalaya City, Saturday (25/11/2023 ).
The "Pos PaOgah" activity is a community empowerment activity created to empower the community, especially in terms of the environment and health. Through this program, students intend to improve the health status of the people of RW 09 Kahuripan Village by inviting the entire community to protect the environment in order to reduce waste residue and plant family medicinal plants to prevent PTM.
"This is a good first step, considering that there are no special activities for the RW 09 Kahuripan community related to waste management and also planting family medicinal plants. We hope that starting this activity by the students can be a stimulant for the RW 09 community to start new activities," said the Head of RW 09 Kahuripan, Tawang Village, Asep.
"I would like to thank the Unsil Public Health students who have started related to TOGA in RW 09. This is also an input for us at the community health center to establish independent TOGA care or the establishment of KWT. Especially regarding TOGA planting which starts from planting in the yard of each house ," PJ Traditional Medicine Kahuripan Health Center, Pipih.
Each party really hopes that this TOGA activity will continue, considering the many benefits for the health of the local community. (rdp*)
