PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin handed over 700 units of Maung MV3 special vehicles (ransus) produced by PT Pindad to the TNI and Polri.
The handover was carried out at Husein Sastranegara Air Force Base, Bandung City, Saturday (1/3/2025).
The Regional Secretary of West Java Province, Herman Suryatman, also attended the event accompanying the Chief of Police and the TNI Commander.
Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin said that the handover of the Maung MV3 rations was a historic moment for the national defense industry.
"Today, the government officially handed over national defense industry products managed by PT Pindad for use by the TNI and Polri. This is proof that our national industry has met its target in supporting Indonesia's ability to maintain national stability," said Sjafrie after the event.
According to him, this step shows the government's commitment to supporting the operations of the TNI and Polri in maintaining the country's sovereignty.
"This vehicle will be used continuously throughout Indonesia, starting from the Pangdam level to Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas. This is a national pride that we are raising so that Indonesia appears as a dignified country and equal to other countries," added Sjafrie.
A total of 700 Maung MV3 units were handed over, consisting of 50 units for the TNI Headquarters, 400 units for the TNI Army, 100 units for the TNI Navy, 100 units for the TNI Air Force, and 50 units for the Polri.
Special vehicles will be widely used by personnel in various regions to strengthen national defense and security operations.
With the support of the domestic defense industry, it is hoped that Indonesia will become more independent in meeting its defense equipment needs and increase its competitiveness at the global level.
