PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - The Garut Regency Department of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (Diskop UKM) is now intensively introducing the Packaging Design Service Car (MOYAN) to help micro businesses, one of which is in Sukawarni Village, Cilawu District.

MOYAN's services in Sukawarni Village aim to increase the capacity of micro businesses by providing free packaging designs, so that micro business actors in villages can be more competitive.

One of the UMKM (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) actors, Tita Komalasari (49), a resident of Sukadunia Village, Cilawu District, looks happy. The rengginang business that he has been running for 15 years now has good packaging, whereas previously he only used ordinary plastic to package his products.

Tita said that she felt very helped by the packaging design service provided by the Garut Regency Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives Service (Diskop UKM).

"Thank you very much, (the packaging is) good, right (according to the tagline) SMEs are moving up a class. We hope they will continue to be even more successful," he said happily.

When met, the Head of the Garut UKM Cooperative and Micro Business Development Division, Yadi Arriyadi, explained that Sukadunia Village was the ninth point out of 18 villages in Cilawu District that received this service. According to Yadi, Sukawarni Village was chosen because it has enormous micro business potential, Friday (5/7/2024).

Apart from packaging design, Diskop UKM also provides services for creating Business Identification Numbers (NIB), Home Industry Food (PIRT), Food Safety Counseling (PKP), and halal self-declaration certification.

"Processed food and beverage products for which packaging designs are made here require a guarantee in the form of self-declared halal certification and we also facilitate this," said Yadi.

He also said that in one day, the Garut Regency UKM Diskop was able to serve 20 micro-enterprises for making packaging designs. During the nine days of implementation, around 180 micro business actors have received this service.

Yadi hopes that the MOYAN program can continue and reach other sub-districts in Garut Regency, especially the southern part of Garut.

"We carry out the service on a pick-up basis, starting from 09.00 to 16.00. We hope that this service can be put to good use by micro-entrepreneurs in the village," he said.

Yadi added that this packaging design service can be useful for Micro Business Actors so that their businesses can continue to grow, be competitive, as well as create an ecosystem and expand their network so they can increase their turnover.

His party considers it important to have this service, so that the community or micro business actors spread across Garut Regency can know and use it.

"Later you can submit a request to the department to carry out packaging design services in their respective regions," he added.

Meanwhile, the Head of Sukadunia Village, Ajat Sudrajat, expressed his gratitude for the services provided by the UKM Diskop. According to him, Sukawarni Village has a variety of MSME potential, including snacks and dairy products.

Sukadunia village is one of the milk producing villages with a production of almost 2,500 liters per. Apart from that, other home industries such as cuankie which are often sold on the market are products from this village.
