PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BEKASI - Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Triadi Machmudin officially opened the 38th Musabaqoh Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) at the West Java Province level which took place at the Bekasi Regency Regional Government Complex on Sunday, (28/04/2024).

The 38th MTQ West Java Opening Ceremony was marked by the beating of the drum by the Acting Governor of West Java together with the Acting Regent of Bekasi Dani Ramdan, General Chairperson of the West Java LPTQ, Dodo Suhendar, and Head of the Regional Office of the West Java Provincial Ministry of Religion, Ajang Mustajam.

Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Triadi Machmudin, in his speech said, MTQ is a very valuable event. Where you can appreciate, celebrate the beauty and majesty of the Al-Quran and respect the Qori-Qoriah.

"Aside from being an event to respect the contents of the Al-Quran, MTQ is also a symbol of Muslims' love for the holy book Al-Quran and is a forum for maintaining and spreading religious values," said Bey.

Bey added, by holding the 38th West Java MTQ in Bekasi Regency, Muslims can enrich their religious experience, deepen their understanding of the Al-Quran, and strengthen their spiritual ties with the Almighty Creator.

"The Koran is a source of inspiration and guidance for all mankind in living their lives," added Bey Machmudin.

Bey Machmudin appreciated the organizers of the 38th MTQ at the West Java Province level, in this case the Bekasi Regency Government and related staff. According to him, holding this big event every two years has gone well and lively.

"Of course I would like to express my thanks to the organizers of the 38th MTQ, in this case the Bekasi Regency Government. Earlier I spoke with the Deputy Chair of the West Java DPRD, actually this is a national level category, the implementation is very good and lively," he said.

Bey Machmudin hopes that the 38th MTQ at the provincial level which will be held in Bekasi Regency, can motivate Qori-qoriah. So that in the future we can improve our achievements to the national level.

Meanwhile, Acting Regent of Bekasi Dani Ramdan said that Bekasi Regency was very happy and honored to have been given the mandate to host the 38th MTQ at the West Java level.

"We humbly welcome all invited guest participants and all elements involved in the 38th MTQ at the West Java Province level in 2024," he said.

Dani said that holding the MTQ at the West Java level in Bekasi Regency was a very valuable moment to show it to the world. That Bekasi Regency is not only an area rich in economic and industrial potential. But also, a place that has Islamic spiritual depth.

The opening ceremony of the 38th MTQ at the West Java level presented guest star Qori Internasional Ust. Salman Amrillah and Gigi Band's performance with vocalist Armand Maulana.
