PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BEKASI - The 38th Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) at the West Java Province level which was held on 27 April-4 May 2024 in Bekasi Regency was officially closed by the Regional Secretary of West Java Province, Herman Suryatman at the Bekasi Regency Regional Government Complex (4/5/2024) .

It was attended by regents and mayors throughout West Java, including the Acting (Pj.) Regent of Garut, along with his wife, Kartika Barnas Adjidin, and other invited guests. In this MTQ, Bekasi Regency as the host won overall champion with a score of 125, while Garut Regency had to settle for 6th place with an overall score of 26 below Bandung Regency, Bandung City, Bogor City and Karawang Regency.

Garut Regency itself sent a caravan of 51 people and 10 officials and 17 supervisors. Several branches are followed, namely: Murottal for Children, Boys/Girls, Tilawah for Children/Teenagers/Adults for Boys/Girls, Sab'ah Mujawwad Adults for Boys/Girls, Sab'ah Murottal for Teenagers/Adults for Boys/Girls, Hifdzil 1 Juz /5Juz & Recitations for Boys/Girls, Hifdzil 10/20/30 Juz Boys/Girls, Tafsir Arabic/Indonesian for Boys/Girls, Tafsir English for Girls, Khat Manuscript Boys/Girls, Khat Ornaments for Girls, Khat Decorations for Boys/Daughters, Khat Contemporary Boys/Girls, Syarhil Qur'an Boys/Girls, Fahmil Qur'an Boys/Girls, and Al Qur'an Papers Boys/Girls.

Meanwhile, in his speech, Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman said that the implementation of the 38th MTQ West Java 2024 in Bekasi Regency was successful and smooth.
