PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The high intensity of rain in West Bandung has made the Bandung City Social Service alert to the risk of flooding. Together with the Potential and Social Welfare Resources (PSKS), the Bandung City Social Service is ready to provide assistance to affected residents.
"We are ready to evacuate the elderly including the disabled, we have prepared this in all 30 sub-districts and 151 urban villages," said Head of the Bandung City Social Service, Soni Bakhtiyar.
Soni added that logistics have been anticipated in the event of a disaster, logistics will arrive immediately.
"We anticipate logistics in areas that often experience flooding," he said.
Regarding the public kitchen, Soni ensured that it is also available if needed.
"We are prepared if the disaster lasts more than 3 days. The public kitchen can accommodate 1,500 portions," he said.
"If it's only a flood that lasts 1-2 days, we drop ready-to-eat food and basic necessities for residents," added Soni. (Bandung City Communication and Information Service/rka)
