PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor Bey Machmudin said West Java could be the most important actor towards a Golden Indonesia 2045 if it could maximize its human resources (HR).
According to Bey, in 2045 West Java as the province with the largest population will have 85 percent of human resources in productive age.
"West Java, with the largest population, namely 18 percent of Indonesia's population, by 2045 will have 85 percent of the population in productive age, more than the national figure which is only 75 percent," said Bey Machmudin.
Bey talked about West Java's role in Golden Indonesia 2045 when he was an orator at the 69th Anniversary Oration at Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung, Wednesday (17/1/2024).
"One of them is anticipating human resources. Don't let the demographic bonus pass you by, so you have to prepare how the education system links and matches with industry," he said.
According to Bey, West Java human resources must adapt to technological developments, must not be rigid, and continue to develop their potential.
Apart from human resources, Bey said that bureaucratic reform and economic infrastructure are characteristics to be able to welcome a Golden Indonesia 2045.
"Bureaucratic reform, we often hear that there are obstacles in the bureaucracy. That is why there must be a simplification of the bureaucracy. In the last 10 years, the economy and infrastructure have been built massively, which should be able to increase competitiveness," he said.
