PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - As part of efforts to resolve basic social problems such as handling rubbish and waste, transportation, health, education, economy, infrastructure, and even disasters, PT Industri Telekomunikasi Indonesia (PT INTI) together with the Sumedang Regency Government, signed a "Letter of Intent "about the use of smart city technology.

The signing of the respective collaborations by the President Director of PT INTI Edi Witjara, Acting. Sumedang Regent Herman Suryatman, and Chief Executive Officer of Wisercat Software Ilja Lavrov, in the presence of the Director General of Regional Administration Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs Safrizal ZA, at the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) 2023.

Edi Witjara said, this collaboration will be a vehicle for 'think globally and act locally". Later, all existing basic social problems will be resolved with solutions based on the best smart city technology.

"As a form of seriousness in collaboration, the third party has carried out follow-up in the form of social mapping as well as defining the need for digital social solutions in Jatinangor District and Cimanggung District, Sumedang Regency," said Edi, Monday (20/11/2023).

"Of course, apart from smart city development, this collaboration will focus on efforts to implement e-Government in Sumedang Regency," he added.

PT INTI Senior Vice President Corporate Secretary Delvia Damayanti added that her party has also collaborated with various companies that focus on a number of things related to financing solutions and applications, development of social e-commerce platforms and digital marketing, development and establishment of social and digital incubation centers, development national electronic payment network, to providing after-sales services.

"The hope is that PT INTI's consistency in continuing to collaborate with national and multinational partners will specifically encourage the realization of a technology transfer process which will ultimately realize domestic technological independence and increase Indonesia's competitiveness on the global stage, especially in mastering technology for the local market," he said. rep no/rdp*)
