PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 has increased the need for skilled workers. Including mastery of technology in the world of education.
For this reason, the Bandung City Regional Government (Pemda) supports the implementation of the Sparkgen Intel Skill for Innovation (SFI) Program in Bandung City which is organized by Intel Indonesia Corporation and B - One Corporation.
"We have now entered a new era in information and digital technology. In this digital era, AI has become an inseparable part of aspects of life, including the world of education," said Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Erwin at the Launching of the Sparkgen Intel Skill for Innovation (SFI) Program, at the Horison Hotel, Tuesday (25/2/2025).
Erwin said that AI provides a great opportunity to create a learning experience that is more interactive, adaptive, and in line with industry needs.
"By utilizing AI technology, we can present more effective learning methods, help personalize education, and increase efficiency in learning data analysis to optimize the curriculum and teaching methods," he said.
Furthermore, the presence of this technology can help learning at school level.
"Various AI models to assist learning, such as intelligent tutor systems, text-to-speech technology, AI systems to assess essays, AI systems to determine student scores and activities, and many other AI systems, which continue to emerge every day," explained Erwin.
However, Erwin emphasized that technology is only a tool, humans are still able to control the tool.
"Keep in mind, AI technology is just a tool, humans control and adapt. Therefore, the use of AI by educators is very important," he explained.
"The launch of SFI today, aimed at lecturers, teachers, and education personnel, is the answer to these challenges, by encouraging the use of technology and innovation to create more interactive, adaptive, and relevant learning. This is to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the classroom, and to increase the capacity and capabilities of lecturers, teachers, and education personnel," he said.
In the same place, CEO of B-One Corporation, Idham Fitriyadi revealed that the innovation was made to improve the skills of educators in using technology in learning in the world of education.
"Bandung City as the main location for the launch. This confirms Bandung's position as a center of education and innovation and technology in the country," he said.
Meanwhile, Director Strategic Business Partner, Intel Indonesia Corporation, Tommy Ferdianto revealed, the evolution of technology is running fast. So it takes collaboration to encourage and adopt technology that can be used.
