PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono, said that the Bandung City Regional Government continues to implement various strategies to control inflation and ensure the availability, distribution and stabilization of food prices in Bandung City, especially ahead of Ramadhan and Idul Fitri 1445 H.
Bambang stated this after attending the High Level Meeting of the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) and the Regional Digitalization Acceleration and Expansion Team (TP2DD) entitled Synergy and Collaboration in Controlling Inflation to face HBKN Ramadan and Idul Fitri and Expanding Digitalization to Increase Economic Growth in West Java at the Hilton Bandung Hotel (6/4/2024).
"TPID Bandung City continues to optimize various programs to maintain inflation rates, ensure the availability, distribution and stabilization of food prices," said Bambang.
For information, Bandung City's inflation control year on year (YoY) in February 2023 is 1.95 percent. These results make Bandung City the city with the lowest annual inflation in West Java.
The Bandung City Government also routinely implements the Cheap Food Movement (GPM), market operations, cheap markets, and other programs as an effort to control inflation.
Meanwhile, the Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Machmudin, gave direction to districts/cities in controlling inflation to face HBKN Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr.
First, said Bey, the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) together with the Food Task Force carried out market operations by intensifying monitoring and supervision of prices and stock availability on a regular and regular basis ahead of and during National Religious Holidays (HBKN).
Second, regional officials carry out the Cheap Food Movement (GPM), subsidized cheap market operations and other market operations to stabilize prices and meet people's food needs.
