PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government is targeting the repair of Uninhabitable Houses (Rutilahu) in 2025.
Bekasi Regent, Ade Kuswara Kunang, emphasized that this program is a top priority to improve the quality of community housing.
"The Bekasi Regency Government is committed to repairing uninhabitable houses so that people can live in safer and healthier places," said Regent Ade when opening the socialization of the construction of Rutilahu and the Domestic Wastewater Treatment System (SPALD-S) at the Wibawa Mukti Building, Wednesday (12/3/2025).
In the 2025 budget, the Bekasi District Government allocated IDR 1.4 billion to repair 70 housing units in slum areas spread across four villages and two sub-districts.
In addition, as many as 1,600 housing units outside slum areas spread across 32 villages and 17 sub-districts will also be repaired.
Since 2019, the program has renovated 12,246 housing units and will continue. Regent Ade invited all parties, including regional apparatus, sub-district heads, and village heads, to work together to make the program a success.
In addition to the Rutilahu repair, the Bekasi Regency Government is also improving the quality of sanitation through the construction of SPALD-S. Head of the Public Housing, Residential Areas, and Land Agency (Perkimtan), Nur Chaidir, explained that this system aims to process domestic waste directly from the source to make it more environmentally friendly and healthy.
By improving Rutilahu and increasing sanitation infrastructure, the Bekasi Regency Government is targeting to improve the quality of life of the community as a whole.
This program not only aims to provide more decent and healthy housing, but also to create a cleaner and more sustainable environment.
