
PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - At least 12 housing units were heavily damaged (RB), 67 housing units were threatened (TRC), 2 public facility units were affected (TDK), namely the prayer room and Posyandu, following the landslide disaster that occurred in Cibatu Hilir Village RT 01 /11, Sekarwangi Village, Cibadak District, Sukabumi Regency.
Based on a release from PUSDALOPS PB, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of West Java Province, the landslide disaster that occurred on Wednesday (24/1/2024) at 10.15 WIB was caused by land movement around the slope, resulting in a landslide.
Apart from causing a number of residents' houses to be damaged, the landslide disaster also affected 15 heads of families (KK) or 51 people who were affected by the landslide. Each 15 Children, 2 Elderly, 34 Adults, 1 Disabled and 75 Families / 239 Lives at Risk.
To anticipate other possibilities due to this landslide disaster, the West Java Province BPBD is coordinating with the Sukabumi Regency BPBD.
Meanwhile, Sukabumi Regency BPBD conducted a rapid assessment of the crime scene and appealed to residents, especially those in landslide-prone areas, to always be alert.
And today BPBD has monitored landslides and evacuated items from the houses of affected and threatened victims. As well as setting up 3 tents for evacuation from BPBD, Social Services and TNI.
BPBD together with the Social Service will immediately open a public kitchen for food tomorrow. Meanwhile, for food for affected, threatened residents and volunteers, lunch and dinner are prepared by purchasing packaged rice. (Parno)
