PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government (Pemdakab) together with the Forest Area and Environmental Management Center (BPKH) Region XI Yogyakarta held a coordination meeting in the KH. R. Ma'mun Nawawi Meeting Room, Bekasi Regency Government Complex, Friday (11/4/2025).

The meeting discussed the determination of the boundary route for the approval of the release of 104.75 hectares of forest area in three sub-districts in Bekasi Regency.

This activity is the initial step in the process of legalizing and utilizing former forest area land that has received release approval through a Decree (SK) from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.

Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Bekasi Regency, Dedy Supriyadi, expressed his full support for the implementation of the program, and requested that all related parties build effective coordination in the field.

"Later, please make a timeline or group for communication with the Sub-district Head, Village Head, and Tapem Section as well," he said.

Head of BPKH Region XI Suhendro explained that this boundary arrangement program will target three sub-districts, namely Muaragembong, Babelan, and Cabangbungin.

The area to be developed reaches 104.75 hectares with a boundary length of approximately 77 kilometers, in accordance with the provisions in the Decree on the release of forest areas that have been issued. All activities are funded by the State Budget (APBN).

"For boundary marking, 2,585 boundary markers and 77 notice boards will be installed at the target locations," he said.

As a follow-up to this meeting, a signing of the minutes of the agreement on the boundary route of the forest area release agreement was carried out between the Bekasi District Government, the Bekasi Regency Land Office, and the BPKH Region XI Yogyakarta.

The plan is that the symbolic boundary marking activity will be carried out in Muaragembong District, which is one of the priority areas in this program.

With the signing of the minutes of approval of the boundary route of the area, the Bekasi District Government together with the BPKH Region XI and the Bekasi Regency Land Office are committed to accelerating the process of delimiting boundaries and legalizing land that has been released from the forest area.

This step is expected to provide legal certainty regarding the control and use of land by the community, as well as support sustainable regional development planning based on clear spatial planning.

This activity is also part of the synergy between agencies in optimizing the use of space in the Bekasi Regency area in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations.

Also present were the Head of the West Java Provincial Forestry Service, Dodit Ardian Pancapana, and related regional apparatus within the Bekasi Regency Government. (DiskominfoKab.Bekasi/UPI)
