PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) through the Environmental Service (DLH) is again holding the Buat Kamu (Beberes Untuk Asyiknya Sidewalk Kota Jadi Mudah dan Terbaik) program.

This program aims to ensure that the cleanliness of Bandung City is maintained during the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H.

Head of Bandung City Environmental Agency Dudy Prayudi said that he has prepared a waste management operation that will be carried out on the night of takbiran, the day of Eid al-Fitr, and D+1 of Eid al-Fitr. This step was taken to anticipate a spike in waste volume at various crowded points.

"We will deploy a special team consisting of field coordinators, sweeping teams, transportation teams, and other supporting teams. The goal is to keep Bandung City clean before and after Eid al-Fitr," he said, Sunday (30/3/2025).

According to Dudi, the team will move quickly to sweep and transport the trash as soon as the takbiran night activities are finished.

"The garbage trucks are targeted to leave at 02.00 WIB at the latest. This is to avoid traffic jams and ensure that the garbage arrives at the Sarimukti TPA before 05.00 WIB," he said.

Dudi added, this step is important because on 1 Syawal, TPA Sarimukti will close, so all waste must have been transported beforehand. If not, the accumulation of waste is feared to occur in various points of the city.

"We hope that the community will also play a role in maintaining cleanliness. Let's work together to ensure that Bandung remains clean and comfortable during Eid," he said.

With the Buat Kamu program, the Bandung City Government hopes to create a more comfortable Eid atmosphere that is free from piles of garbage.
