PORTALJABAR, BOGOR CITY - The Bogor City Government accompanied the Ministry of Social Affairs in reviewing the land for the proposed People's School in Rancamaya Village to ensure the technical readiness for the construction of an educational facility with a capacity of more than one thousand students for residents, (20/1/2026).

Bogor City Regional Secretary, Denny Mulyadi, along with regional officials accompanied the Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Robben Rico, to review the land contour in an area of approximately 5 hectares.

This review is the initial stage before compiling a study and planning for school construction which is expected to be immediately utilized by the community.

"Thank God, today the Secretary General inspected the planned construction site for the Bogor City Elementary School. I was accompanied by the technical department and had technical discussions. Thank God, a solution has been found for the construction plan," said Denny.

Robben explained that the field review was part of the preparations for the construction auction, which is targeted to begin in June.

"Today, we're taking the first steps. We'll assess the situation, then begin the review process, and prepare the plans. God willing, we'll begin the tender process and even begin the initial work by June," Robben explained.

Robben emphasized that in the next six months, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Public Works, and the Bogor City Government will maximize all stages so that by July next year the school can be used by Bogor City children who currently attend school in Cibinong.

He said the construction would be carried out by the Ministry of Public Works with a minimum capacity of 1,000 to 1,080 students.

The planned facilities include student dormitories, classrooms, laboratories, places of worship, fields, multipurpose buildings, and dormitories for teaching and administrative staff.

"Because this is a boarding school, it means that the entire 24-hour life of the People's School is accommodated here. They don't go home every day, but stay overnight at the People's School," explained Robben.

He added that the People's School concept directed by President Prabowo Subianto emphasizes the formation of character, discipline, nationality, and religious values, as well as applicable certified skills for students.

"Of course, the skills are not just random and certified," Robben concluded.
