PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman emphasized the commitment of the West Java Provincial Government to develop Islamic boarding schools as part of education and to produce a generation with morals.
According to him, the Islamic boarding school development program has been included in the Regional Development Information System (SIPD) of the 2026 APBD and the initial draft of the 2025-2029 RPJMD.
"The development of Islamic boarding schools and the construction of religious facilities and infrastructure are in the SIPD and RPJMD dictionaries," said Herman Suryatman, in Bandung City, Saturday (26/4/2025).
In SIPD, Herman explained, there is a nomenclature for the construction and repair of new Islamic boarding school classrooms. Then, the development of Islamic boarding school activities.
Still in SIPD, there is also the operational nomenclature of religious mass organizations, construction and rehabilitation of mosques, prayer rooms, repairs to state/private MAs.
Meanwhile, in the RPJMD, said Herman, the document has been signed by the Governor and the DPRD.
"The other day, the Governor and the DPRD leadership signed a memorandum of understanding on the initial draft of the 2025-2029 RPJMD. It explicitly includes policies related to the development of Islamic boarding schools and religious development," he said.
The development of Islamic boarding schools, said Herman, is also included in the West Java Special Mission 1:
realizing human resources with superior character.
"The policy direction is to strengthen open schools and Islamic boarding schools and develop religious-based schools, especially in affirmative areas," said Herman.
