PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - The management of the Garut Branch Leadership Council (DPC) of the Association of Nutritionists (PERSAGI) for the 2024-2029 period was officially inaugurated. The inauguration took place solemnly at the Garut Regency Health Service (Dinkes), Jalan Proklik, Tarogong Kidul District, Garut Regency (28/4/2024).

The PERSAGI Garut DPC management was appointed directly by the Chair of the West Java PERSAGI Regional Management Council (DPD), Sri Sudartini, and witnessed directly by the Head of the Garut Regency Health Office, Leli Yuliani, as well as other invited guests.

The Head of the Garut Regency Health Office, Leli Yuliani, appreciated the formation of the new management of the DPC PERSAGI Garut. He hopes that this new management can provide enthusiasm for the DPC PERSAGI Garut.

Not only that, he also hopes that the DPD PERSAGI West Java can provide further motivation and training, so that the DPC PERSAGI Garut can be more optimal in its performance to improve health, especially nutrition of the people in Garut Regency.

My message to the new management is to always update the latest knowledge regarding nutrition management, especially community nutrition, where currently stunting is still a problem in Garut Regency, and this is expected later from PERSAGI, from these nutritionists who really "go into the field, go to the posyandu to provide coaching related to healthy food management for especially toddlers and pregnant women," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chair of the DPD PERSAGI West Java, Sri Sudartini, hopes that the new management can align its spirit. Then, he also asked for commitment from the nutrition profession in Garut Regency to the government, by always supporting all existing programs, especially those related to nutritional problems, improving nutrition, and especially related to accelerating the reduction of stunting.

"Earlier in my speech I said that when a professional organization is said to be successful if all its members are committed, they start from a small amount of work but it turns out that in the end it can be put together and in the end it can mean making a significant contribution to the acceleration of stunting reduction in Garut Regency in particular, and in general "In general, it is improving community nutrition in Garut Regency," he said.

In the same place, the long-term Chair of the DPC PERSAGI Garut, Lili Ghazali, said that the inauguration of the management this time was a relay to the younger generation. He believes that today's young generation has a lot of innovation.

He revealed that currently one of the main cases of nutrition in Garut Regency is related to stunting, therefore he hopes that handling stunting can be prioritized by the new administrators.

"Yes, my hope is that because this is a young generation, which has a lot of innovation, which is related to IT, especially with IT, right now the capital is related to social media, social media with IT, so that counseling or innovation to improve nutrition can be continued again "through the aforementioned media channels," said Lili.

In his speech, the Chairman of the new PERSAGI Garut DPC, Wiwin Winiarsyarah, expressed his gratitude to the chairman of the branch deliberation committee and members of the Garut PERSAGI DPC, for the trust that had been entrusted to him.

He stated that he would carry out this valuable mandate by continuously providing the best performance. He also explained that the various activities and achievements that had been carried out and achieved in the previous period were important capital for his party to move forward.

The purpose of this inauguration, added Wiwin, is to regenerate the PERSAGI DPC Garut Regency organization, so that it continues to develop in the future, and also to inaugurate the management and members who were previously elected in the branch deliberation which was held on March 28 2024.

"The hope is that after being officially inaugurated, the new management can start its work program, providing real performance in accordance with the vision and mission to be achieved," he said.
