PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan released 61 Civil Servants of the Bandung City Government who officially entered retirement starting March 1, 2026, in an agenda at Bandung City Hall (February 23, 2026).

A total of 61 civil servants ended their service after decades of serving the people and going through various important phases of regional development.

Farhan expressed his appreciation for the dedication of employees who have maintained public services since the 1997 monetary crisis, the 1998 reforms, and the current dynamics of government.

"Ladies and gentlemen, you have been through various phases of history, from the 1997 monetary crisis, the 1998 reforms, the first democratic elections, to the recent dynamics in Bandung. We learn from you," he said.

He believes that the integrity and consistency of the apparatus are the foundation of public trust in the bureaucracy.

"When integrity is well maintained, the image of bureaucrats will also be good in the eyes of the public," he said.

The momentum of release ahead of Ramadan provides spiritual meaning for employees who are entering a new phase of service in society.

Farhan stated that retirement is not the end of contributions because experience and exemplary behavior are still needed by those around him.

"Those who retire are blessed, those who are promoted are blessed, those who are promoted are blessed, and those who are rotated are also blessed," he said.
