PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government has set adjustments to the working hours of state civil servants (ASN) during Ramadan 1447 Hijriah/2026 AD through the Circular Letter of the Bekasi Regent Number 800.1.6.2/SE-24/BKPSDM/2026 so that public services continue to run optimally (13/2/2026).

Acting Regent of Bekasi, Asep Surya Atmaja, said that this policy aims to maintain a balance between ASN productivity and the solemnity of fasting worship.

"We want to ensure that during Ramadan, public services continue to run optimally without compromising the quality of ASN performance," said Asep.

The circular stipulates that the effective working hours for ASN within the Bekasi Regency Government are 32 hours and 30 minutes per week.

This policy refers to Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 21 of 2023 concerning Working Days and Working Hours of Government Agencies and State Civil Apparatus Employees and Decree of the Regent of Bekasi Number HK.02.02/Kep.169BKPSDM/2024 concerning Provisions on Working Days and Hours of Regional Apparatus.

Asep said the adjustments were made without reducing ASN's obligations to serve the public.

"We are still adhering to the applicable regulations, but with adjustments to working hours so that civil servants can properly observe the fast without disrupting their service to the public," he added.

For regional apparatus with five working days, working hours Monday to Thursday start at 07.30 WIB to 14.30 WIB with a break time of 12.00–12.30 WIB.

On Friday, working hours start at 07.30 WIB to 15.00 WIB with a break time at 11.30–12.30 WIB.

For regional apparatus with six working days, working hours from Monday to Friday start at 07.30 WIB to 14.00 WIB with a break time of 12.00–12.30 WIB for Monday to Thursday and 11.30–12.30 WIB specifically for Friday.

Saturday working hours are set at 08.00 WIB to 11.00 WIB.

Asep urged all heads of regional government agencies to ensure strict adherence to working hours to ensure optimal public service during Ramadan.

"I ask all regional officials to maintain discipline and improve their work ethic, so that public service remains excellent, even during Ramadan," he concluded.
