PORTALJABAR, BOGOR CITY - The Bogor City Government (Pemkot) together with the Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment (Kemenko PM) are preparing to designate the Sukamulya area, Bogor City, as an Independent Creation Center (SCM) through integrated community empowerment activities.

A preparatory coordination meeting (rakor) was also held directly at the Sentra Cipta Mandiri location, Bogor City, Thursday (10/4/2025).

Head of the Bogor City Social Service (Dinsos) Dani Rahadian said that this initiative began with the visit of the Coordinating Ministry for PM to Bogor City, precisely after an audience with the Marzuki Mahdi Hospital.

Based on data from Marzuki Mahdi Hospital, there are victims of non-substance addiction such as online gambling which has an impact on people's mental health.

"The Cipta Mandiri Center focuses primarily on mental health and empowerment of communities affected by non-substance addiction, as well as other vulnerable groups," he said.

Dani explained that this program will not only target victims of non-substance addiction, but also other vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities and the poor.

Data from the Family Hope Program (PKH) states that there are around 80,000 to 84,000 poor people in Bogor City, including the disabled group who will be the target of empowerment.

"Sentra Cipta Mandiri will provide mental health consultation and counseling services, as well as community economic empowerment," he said.

He explained that the Social Service also invited other agencies to collaborate, starting from the Environmental Service which will manage hydroponic farming and waste processing, the Cooperatives and MSMEs Service to help the MSME community, and the Tourism Service which will support the creative economy and arts sectors.

"The soft launch of Sentra Cipta Mandiri is planned for April 22, 2025 and will be officially opened by the Coordinating Minister for PM.
