PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting (Pj.) Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin inaugurated the West Java People's Struggle Monument resulting from the revitalization and renovation on Thursday (28/12/2023).

There are many new facilities in the West Java People's Struggle Monument area after it was revitalized, such as a people's amphitheater, prayer room, culinary area, work house, playground and people's theater.

"We are at the West Java People's Struggle Monument, which was actually inaugurated by the Governor (of West Java) 28 years ago, Mr. Nuriana. This monument has been revitalized and its use is for the public, for the community," said Bey.

The West Java People's Struggle Monument has a land area of approximately 72,040 square meters with a total building area of around 2,143 square meters. According to Bey, the monument is one of the best public facilities in West Java.

"Earlier I was going around trying to see everything and I thought this was one of the best in Bandung or West Java. But precisely because it is the best, this is quite a tough challenge, can we take care of it?" Bey said.

"So our job is actually after it is inaugurated. We have to jointly maintain this monument of struggle so that it remains clean and can be enjoyed by all levels of society," he added.

Therefore, Bey asked the public to work together to maintain cleanliness and maintain the facilities at the West Java People's Struggle Monument.

"This has a theater. So, residents of West Java, residents of Bandung, many art workers can use it, showing attractions ranging from dancing, singing, painting exhibitions and so on," said Bey.

"Essentially, we are grateful that there are public facilities, shared facilities, which will certainly be overflowing here for the New Year. Once again, please keep it clean, don't damage it, because this was built by the community itself from taxes and so on, so it is our responsibility everyone," he added.
