PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government presents the 2026 Asia Africa Festival which attracts thousands of residents to enjoy cultural entertainment, an MSME bazaar, and a carnival on Jalan Asia Afrika.

Residents from various regions, including Cimahi City, came from early morning to witness the excitement of the festival which is a tourist attraction in Bandung City.

Isrowiah, a resident of South Cimahi, attended with her family after learning about the event through social media and arrived at 8:30 a.m. WIB.

He believes that the Asia Africa Festival provides entertainment for the public without having to travel far out of town.

"Thank God, we have entertainment right in the city. We don't have to leave town and face traffic jams. I hope events like this happen more often," said Isrowiah.

Isrowiah also appreciated the carnival, which presented a national-scale festival atmosphere with the presence of delegates from various countries.

"Thank God, Indonesia, especially the city of Bandung, is becoming increasingly global," he said.

Another visitor, Dea, came with her family to fill the weekend by enjoying various activities at the Asia Africa Festival.

"It's really exciting, it's busy. I think it's even busier in the afternoon," said Dea.

Dea also visited the MSME bazaar which featured local products from various business actors during the festival.

According to him, this activity helps introduce local products while opening up opportunities for increased sales for MSMEs.

Business actors also felt the positive impact of the festival through the increasing number of visitors coming to their stands.

Rahil, the OMG cosmetics product booth attendant, said many visitors had been trying out the products on display since morning.

"Thank God, it's been really busy since morning. Many visitors are curious and want to try OMG product testers," he said.

Rahil hopes that the high enthusiasm of visitors will encourage increased transactions during the Asia Africa Festival.

"The hope is that turnover will explode," he said.

Even though he couldn't watch the carnival live because he was guarding the stall, Rahil still followed the series of activities via live broadcast on his cell phone.

"I think it was really good. The makeup and costumes were really on point. I hope the next event will be bigger, more crowded, and the performances will be even more captivating," he said.

The Asia Africa Festival provides entertainment for the public while also supporting the promotion of culture, tourism, and economic growth through the involvement of MSMEs.

The enthusiasm of the residents shows that the Asia Africa Festival has become a highly anticipated event and strengthens Bandung's image as an international-class creative city.
