PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government is providing incentives for Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax in the form of a discount on principal arrears of up to 100 percent and no fines from (1/7/2026) to (31/12/2026).
The program aims to ease the burden on the community while increasing taxpayer compliance in fulfilling their obligations.
Head of Data Collection and Determination II of the Bandung City Regional Revenue Agency, Andri Nurdin, said that this incentive is a Bandung City Government policy initiated by the Mayor of Bandung.
"This program is a regional tax incentive provided by the Bandung City Government to increase taxpayer compliance and ease the burden on the community," said Andri.
He explained that this program is the second tax incentive throughout 2026, following the previous 10 percent discount on current year Land and Building Tax payments.
"The first program is aimed at taxpayers who comply with their 2026 PBB payments, who will receive a 10 percent discount. Now we're moving on to the second program, which is a discount on the principal PBB receivable for arrears from previous years," he explained.
Andri explained that people who have paid their Land and Building Tax for the 2026 Tax Year will automatically receive a reduction in arrears according to the category.
The discounts include a 100 percent discount for arrears up to 2012, a 50 percent discount for arrears from 2013–2020, and a 25 percent discount for arrears from 2021–2025.
All categories also receive fine waiver facilities according to the applicable terms and conditions.
"The main requirement is to pay the 2026 PBB (land tax). After that, the system will automatically change the value of the outstanding bill according to the discount category. So, people don't need to come to the Bapenda office to submit an application," he said.
Andri added that the payment system has been integrated so that discounts are given automatically when transactions are made through a bank or collaborating payment channel.
In 2026, the target for Land and Building Tax revenue for Bandung City reached IDR 700 billion, while the realization as of (30/6/2026) had reached IDR 294.6 billion.
According to Andri, this program not only aims to increase regional revenue, but also helps the community settle tax arrears.
"The main goal is not only to achieve revenue targets, but also to help reduce the burden on the community and increase awareness and compliance in paying taxes," he said.
He invited the public to take advantage of the program which runs until (31/12/2026) because it is not held every year.
In addition, the Bandung City Regional Revenue Agency opened tax services at the Gebyar Utama event at the Gasmin Antapani Field (26/7/2026).
The public can utilize Land and Building Tax services, motor vehicle tax, Digital Population Identity, Business Identification Number, and various other public services.
"We invite the public to come to Gebyar Utama. Many public services can be utilized in one day, including tax services. We hope the public can make the most of this opportunity," he concluded.
