PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Garut Regent Abdusy Syakur Amin, carried out the Safari Ramadan 1446 Hijriah activity which was held at the Great Mosque of Cisurupan District, Garut Regency, on Monday (10/3/2025).

This activity is a means of fostering friendship between the government and the local community.

In his speech, Syakur conveyed a number of messages to the community, including the importance of instilling an honest attitude, tolerance, and social awareness. In addition, he also reminded the community to increase awareness of the potential for natural disasters in Garut Regency.

"We must work together with the community, we don't have to wait for a disaster, first we must make prevention efforts," he said.

He also emphasized the importance of maintaining tolerance between religious communities in Garut Regency, which has a society with heterogeneous backgrounds.

"Where there are different communities, they look after each other, respect each other, appreciate each other so that we live in harmony, peace and tranquility," he said.

Cisurupan Sub-district Head Mamun appreciated the presence of the Garut Regent and his staff. He said the visit was an honor as well as motivation for the people of Cisurupan Sub-district to continue to synergize in regional development.

"The presence of the regional government ranks is a spirit for us to continue to synergize in carrying out more advanced and prosperous development in Cisurupan District," he said.

Mamun considered Safari Ramadan as a momentum to strengthen Islamic brotherhood in the holy month. He hopes this activity can provide benefits and blessings for the Cisurupan community.

The Ramadan Safari in Cisurupan District was closed with the handover of assistance in the form of Al-Qurans, basic necessities, and grants for the construction of mosques, which were handed over directly by the Regent of Garut.

Also present were the Chairman of the Garut Regency DPRD Aris Munandar, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of Garut Regency, the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Garut Regency, the heads of Regional Apparatus (PD) within the Garut Regency Government (Pemdakab), as well as the community and congregation of the Cisurupan District Grand Mosque.
