PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government (Pemdakab) supports all Pertamina EP Tambun Field work programs for the development of its business in meeting the availability of energy for oil refineries in the Bekasi Regency area.

"Yes, we support all of Pertamina EP Field Tambun's work programs to continue developing its business in the energy sector, especially since there are BUMD companies that are collaborating in the Bekasi Regency area," said Acting Regional Secretary of Bekasi Regency Jaoharul Alam, while accompanying a specific working visit of Commission XII of the Indonesian House of Representatives to Pertamina EP Tambun Field, Friday (8/11/2024).

Jaoharul said, with the presence of Pertamina EP Field Tambun's commitment with PT. Bina Bangun Wibawa Mukti (BBWM) in the energy sector, it is expected to continue to contribute significantly to the addition of reserves and the achievement of national oil and gas production targets.

"They work together in producing oil and gas, of course we hope that there will be continuity in national oil and gas production according to central government policy," he said.

The Head of the Specific Working Visit Team of Commission XII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Bambang Patijaya, said that the purpose of the visit of the Commission XII Team of the Indonesian House of Representatives to Pertamina EP Tambun Field was to carry out the supervisory function, Pertamina EP Tambun's work strategy, and support for the strategy to optimize the national oil and gas production target.

In addition, Commission XII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, which oversees the Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) sector, hopes that Pertamina EP in zone 7 will also be able to contribute to the oil and gas production target of 1 million Barrels Per Day (BPH) in 2030.

"We want to carry out the supervisory function, see firsthand the work of Pertamina EP Tambun to information related to the national oil and gas strategy. Pertamina Hulu Energi has a very crucial role in oil and gas production and is expected to contribute to achieving the target," he said.

Pertamina Hulu Energi President Director Chalid Said Salim said that Pertamina's oil production in 2023 was recorded to have increased by 10 percent compared to oil production in 2022. Pertamina's oil production increased from 514,000 barrels per day in 2022 to 566,000 barrels per day in 2023.

The party will continue to be committed to providing a major contribution in the field of energy transition to increase productivity in line with the vision and mission of Golden Indonesia 2045.

"We strongly believe that with good synergy there will be efforts to produce oil and natural gas according to the targets developed," he said.
