JAKARTA - Regional Secretary of West Java Province Herman Suryatman together with the Head of the West Java Provincial Education Office Wahyu Mijaya attended the Launch of the Distribution Mechanism for Regional ASN Teacher Professional Allowances (TPG) Directly to Teacher Accounts.

The event, which was led directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, took place at the Plaza Insan Berprestasi, office of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen), Jakarta, Thursday (13/3/2025) afternoon.

"Just now, I, together with the Head of the Education Office representing the Governor of West Java, attended the launch of a new mechanism for direct transfer of regional ASN teacher allowances through teacher accounts," said Herman Suryatman.

Herman said that the direct transfer process to teachers' accounts was a good breakthrough from the central government.

With this mechanism, the distribution of allowances is expected to be faster because allowance funds no longer end up in regional coffers, thereby reducing bureaucratic obstacles.

This change in the distribution scheme is also stated in the Regulation of the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education (Permendikdasmen) Number 4 of 2025 as an Amendment to the Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Permendikbudristek) No. 45 of 2023.

The regulation concerns technical instructions for providing professional allowances, special allowances, and additional income for regional ASN teachers.

Allowances for teachers of Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) will refer to Presidential Regulation Number 11 of 2024.

"I think this is a breakthrough from the government as a form of concern for teachers through direct transfer of allowances to teachers' accounts," he said.

This also ensures that teachers get their rights, and is proof of the government's commitment to teacher welfare.

"The President said earlier that one of the priorities for human development is education. In fact, the budget allocation in the APBN is the highest. Likewise in West Java, the Governor is paying serious attention to the development of character education," added Herman.

He emphasized that the future of the nation's children certainly depends on the education sector, so teachers as the spearhead of educational success need attention.

On that occasion, President Prabowo also emphasized that the breakthrough he launched was an efficiency effort that would reduce the length of the bureaucratic chain.

So with this breakthrough, the President emphasized that bureaucratic matters should not be complicated.

"We are determined to try as hard as possible with all the efforts we have to achieve a clean government is absolutely necessary," said the President.

On the other hand, President Prabowo said that the path to successful national development is through education.

"In fact, in nation building, the only path to a nation's success is education," said the President.

Streamlining bureaucracy

So he admitted that he welcomed the new mechanism for sending ASN teacher allowances in terms of streamlining the bureaucracy, in line with the ideals of a clean government, as well as making education a success as one of the paths to successful national development by improving the welfare of teachers.

"I, Prabowo Subianto, have the honor of launching a new mechanism for distributing regional ASN teacher allowances directly to teacher accounts," said the President.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu'ti said that the new mechanism for distributing regional ASN teacher allowances directly to teacher accounts is the government's answer to the aspirations of the community, especially from among teachers.

Abdul Mu'ti also revealed that the data validation process is still ongoing so that funds will be transferred directly if the data is valid.

"The direct transfer in March was carried out so that teachers can celebrate Eid al-Fitr happily, work better in carrying out their duties," he said.

"(So far) there have been (teachers) who have experienced delays (TPG) for various reasons. Therefore, this direct distribution is a breakthrough based on the aspirations of teachers," said Abdul Mu'ti.

Currently, there are 1,476,964 ASN teachers who will receive allowances sent directly to their accounts. While for non-ASN teachers who will receive direct transfers, there are 392,802 people.
