PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Province Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman attended a consolidation coordination meeting with the West Java Education Service in Bandung City, Friday (3/5/2024).

Herman said that the meeting with the education department was an effort to improve the quality of public and private high school education in West Java.

"I just had a friendly visit with the extended family of the West Java Provincial Education Service. This is the Kadis, Mr. Sekdis, the Kabids are great, as is the Head of the UPTD and the Head of the Service Branch (13 service branches)," said Herman, who was met after the meeting. .

"We are sharing about how to raise the level of education in West Java, starting with the authority for high schools, vocational schools, both public and private, we are improving the quality," he added.

From this meeting, the West Java Provincial Government agreed to make efforts to improve teacher competency, school infrastructure and the quality of students graduating from high school.

"We will sharpen the competency standards of graduates, we will sharpen the content standards again, as well as the process standards for teaching staff and education," he said.

This effort was made with the hope that in the future students in West Java will be more ready to work or ready to become entrepreneurs.

Herman also expressed his hope that West Java's young generation would not become coolies in their homeland, but could become leaders in various fields of life.

"It's simple, we want to ensure that the young generation in West Java must become leaders, not become coolies in their weak cai," he said.

Agreeing with Herman, Head of the West Java Education Service, Wahyu Wijaya, hopes that the direction from the West Java Regional Secretary can be implemented immediately for better education.

"Thank you today, Mr. Regional Secretary, for giving various directions. Hopefully we can implement them and make education in West Java even better and of course by 2045, our sons and daughters must be ready to become a superior generation, a golden generation," said Wahyu.
