PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. SUMEDANG - West Java Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman hopes that the Acting Regent of Sumedang, Yudia Ramli, can synergize with the West Java Provincial Government to continue the Sumedang Regency development program.

This was what Herman said at the farewell and handover ceremony for the position of Acting Regent of Sumedang at the Sumedang Government Center field, Sumedang Regency, Monday (29/4/2024).

Herman Suryatman was previously the Acting Regent of Sumedang but after being appointed as West Java Regional Secretary, he had to relinquish his old position. Now the new Acting Regent of Sumedang is Yudia Ramli.

The handover of positions witnessed by all state civil servants within the Sumedang Regency Regional Government started work this week.

On the occasion of his handover, Herman encouraged all levels of the Sumedang Regency Regional Government to work together to continue the development program under the leadership of acting Regent Yudia Ramli.

Apart from synergizing with the West Java Provincial Government, Herman also hopes that Acting. The Regent of Sumedang can be in line with Central Government policies.

"From me as the previous Acting Regent of Sumedang to Mr. Yudia Ramli as the new Acting Regent of Sumedang. Hopefully it will be smooth and blessed," said Herman Suryatman.

Herman also expressed his gratitude to the residents of Sumedang, ASN, and the ranks of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum who remained united and solid in advancing Sumedang.

"While carrying out his duties, the contribution of the residents, ASN, Forkopimda of Sumedang Regency was extraordinary," he said.

Meanwhile, Acting Regent of Sumedang Yudia Ramli expressed his gratitude to Herman Suryatman for his high service and dedication while leading Sumedang Regency with the vision that has been proclaimed and realized so far.

"Under his (Herman Suryatman) leadership, Sumedang Regency has developed far in a better direction, starting from serving as regional secretary for four years followed by Acting Regent of Sumedang for six months," said Yudia Ramli.

According to him, with previous leadership, Sumedang was able to win 40 awards, namely 18 national level awards and 22 provincial level awards.

"For this reason, I appeal to the Acting Regional Secretary, the Heads of OPD and sub-district heads as well as all ASN to continue to maintain performance which is considered to be good. Always improve achievements and evaluate shortcomings and look for solutions for the progress of Sumedang which we love," he said.

During the morning rally, a certificate of appreciation was also handed over to art and culture conservationists in Sumedang Regency. These include awards for cultural figures, awards for preservers of cepak wayang golek, awards for cultural photography, awards for preservers of the traditional medicine of raksa jasad, awards for reformers of masked art, and awards for reformers of Songsong Citengah art.
