PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Bekasi Regency Regional Secretary Endin Samsudin said that strengthening the role of the School Committee is an important part of encouraging improvements in the quality of education while simultaneously developing superior, character-based, and competitive human resources (HR).

This was conveyed by Endin Samsudin, when attending the Declaration of the Independent School Committee Forum (FKSMB) and the Dialogue on Strengthening the Bekasi Regency School Committee, which took place at the Al Azhar 16 Jababeka Islamic Middle School Hall, North Cikarang, Tuesday (22/9/2026).

Endin stated that education is one of the main pillars of human resource development. Therefore, local governments cannot work alone to achieve ideal education quality. It requires synergy and collaboration from all stakeholders, including parents and the community through school committees.

"Education is a key pillar in developing superior, character-based, and competitive human resources. Local governments cannot act alone. We need synergy, collaboration, and the active participation of all stakeholders, including parents and the community, who are represented by the school committee," said Endin.

He believes the Bekasi Regency FKSMB declaration represents a strategic opportunity to strengthen communication and coordination between schools, parents, and the community. The forum is expected to become a strategic partner for educational institutions in improving service quality and accountability in school management.

Endin explained that the existence of a school committee is not simply about financial support. Furthermore, the committee plays a crucial role as a communication bridge between the school, parents, and the community.

"The committee and the school are one unit. The committee represents the parents. When there are shortcomings at the school, the committee's job is to convey the necessary steps for improvement, both related to programs and other matters," he explained.

He added that active two-way communication between schools, students, and parents is key to building a better education ecosystem. Through intensive communication, various educational needs and issues can be discussed together to find constructive solutions.

In addition to being a communication bridge, Endin hopes that the school committee will also monitor the quality of education by supporting various programs oriented towards improving academic achievement and character building for students.

The school committee is also expected to be able to encourage the creation of transparency and accountability, so that the governance of educational units can run in a clean, participatory, and responsible manner.

"The theme chosen is excellent: establishing an independent, accountable, and effective school committee to improve the quality of education in Bekasi Regency. I hope this isn't just a theme, but is truly implemented," he emphasized.

Endin also expressed his appreciation for the formation of the Bekasi Regency FKSMB management. He expressed his hope that the forum would fulfill its mandate optimally and serve as a shared learning space and a platform for generating constructive ideas for educational advancement in Bekasi Regency.

He believes that good educational management practices, such as those implemented in Al Azhar, can be an example that can be studied and developed by other educational institutions.

"If human resources are high-quality, God willing, physical development and other developments will also be high-quality. Therefore, when talking about Bekasi, the most important thing is human resource development," he said.

Regional Secretary Endin welcomed and appreciated the formation of the Bekasi Regency FKSMB. He hoped the forum would further strengthen collaboration between schools, parents, the community, and the government in creating quality education.
