PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Garut Regency Regional Secretary Nurdin Yana handed over the decision to dismiss civil servants who will reach retirement age in February 2026 while reminding state civil servants to maximize public service before their term of office ends (2/2/2026).

The symbolic handover of the Garut Regent's decision was carried out at a joint roll call at the Garut Regency Regional Secretariat Field, Jalan Pembangunan, Tarogong Kidul District.

Nurdin Yana expressed his appreciation to the retired civil servants, including representatives of educational staff, for their long service which has had a real impact on public services in Garut.

"We pray for Mr. Endang and express our gratitude for his dedication to Garut Regency," said Nurdin.

He made the retirement moment a reflection for active civil servants that the role of public servants is a mandate that can provide direct benefits to citizens.

Nurdin emphasized that technological advances have made it easier to monitor the performance and behavior of officials, making service quality a measure of public trust.

"Therefore, while we are still given the opportunity to serve the community, we must do our best in providing services," said Nurdin.

He instructed regional apparatus down to the regional level to be directly present among the community because public satisfaction is not only measured by technical solutions, but also psychological approaches.

The closing message urged all officials to work optimally before retirement and to utilize public service as a form of gratitude and an investment in charitable acts for the Garut community. (Garut Regency Communications and Information Service/bhf)
