PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - Bogor Deputy Regent (Wabup), Jaro Ade, conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) to Cibinong Samsat on (24/3/2025) to see firsthand the condition of services in the field.
The Deputy Regent also reviewed the free homecoming registration service at the Bogor Regency Transportation Service.
Following the implementation of the elimination of Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) fines and the elimination of arrears by the West Java Provincial Government, public enthusiasm in paying vehicle tax at the Cibinong Samsat has increased drastically up to 105 times.
Jaro Ade explained that this inspection was carried out to ensure that the governor's program supported by the regent truly provides benefits for people who have vehicle tax arrears.
"It turns out that the public's enthusiasm is extraordinary, even to the point of overflowing," he said.
Jaro Ade said the increase in the number of taxpayers has an impact on the increasing need for service facilities.
"The officers also worked optimally, and thank God we were able to add some chairs so that people would be more comfortable waiting in line," he explained.
This vehicle tax fine elimination program has a positive impact on regional income.
"Based on the information I received, vehicle tax payment revenue increased 105 times compared to normal days," said Jaro Ade.
He hopes that the program to eliminate motor vehicle tax fines and free homecoming will make it easier for the people of Bogor Regency and West Java to fulfill their tax obligations and go home safely and comfortably.
Jaro Ade promised to report the results of this inspection to the regent to consider adding counters or other facilities to maintain optimal service.
Along with the increasing number of homecoming travelers, Jaro Ade also reviewed the free homecoming registration service at the Bogor Regency Transportation Agency.
"What is amazing is that up to today, 500 people have registered for the free homecoming. Hopefully we can serve well, and I also request that the service desk be added to speed up the registration process," he added.
Jaro Ade appealed to people who will be going home to ensure their vehicles are in prime condition and to carry out checks before leaving.
"Also make sure your body is in good health. For travelers using buses, we order drivers to ensure the safety and comfort of the trip," said Jaro Ade. (Diskominfo Kab. Bogor/Fauziah)
