PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - In collaboration with the Bogor District Government and the Central Government, SMA Plus PGRI Cibinong held a Student Day activity as a means or facility for students to showcase their talents and skills, as an effort to improve their skills in facing the challenges of globalization, which took place in the SMA Plus PGRI Cibinong school yard ( 5/28/2024).

Head of SMA Plus PGRI CIbinong, Agus Rohiman, said that student day is one of the means given to students to display all their work from the results of one year's learning according to their talents and interests.

"Through this activity we appreciate their work, the hope is that they will become entrepreneurs, meaning that when they graduate they will be able to have competitiveness and have the ability to open up job opportunities and of course be successful in facing the future as quality national cadres," said Agus Rohiman.

Furthermore, the Secretary of the Cibinong Subdistrict Head, Apip Junaedi, expressed his appreciation for holding student day activities initiated by the ranks of SMA PGRI Plus which could also be carried out by other schools.

"This is an extraordinary positive activity, of course we from the local government really support it, in order to create a young generation who have good talents, have expertise in their respective fields," said the Cibinong Camcam Secretary.

In the same place, Coordinator for Publishing and Advertising at the Indonesian Ministry of Creative Economy, Tetra Tianiafi, said that currently technology has changed the way of life for everyone in the world, including in Indonesia. Where the paradigm has shifted, intelligence is now multi-talented, meaning that being smart is not only considered an expert in one sector, in fact those who have multi-talent will rule the world and have a good future.

"I was surprised, it was amazing beyond my expectations that teachers in Indonesia were so aware of the challenges of changing times, such as the teachers and staff of SMA PGRI Plus. "Their work is extraordinary, including robotics, journalism and others," Tetra appreciated.

Then, one of the students participating in the student day, Zidan Ramadan, admitted that he was proud to be given space to channel his talents and hobbies. Today, several of the works displayed together with other colleagues include robotics, Internet of Things (IoT) based agriculture, mushroom cultivation which is digitally monitored to check temperature and humidity. Then there is Remote Control (RC), Robotic Replica Smart City.

"I'm really happy, this is a means for us to gain experience, hopefully we can continue to develop it so that it can be useful for many people," he concluded. (Diskominfo Bogor Regency/Fauziah)
