PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) is expanding its public asset inspection efforts on Jalan Cihampelas in Bandung City. Several hotel yards on Jalan Cihampelas are suspected of violating the Road Ownership Area (Rumija) permit.

The Head of the West Java Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), Akhmad Taufiqurrachman, said that his team found initial indications that the boundaries of the courtyard area and the yards of several hotel buildings were within the Rumija area, which is a public government asset.

Akhmad admitted that he had held an initial meeting with representatives of the Nalendra Hotel management, but his party would meet again to clarify and officially verify land ownership documents.

"Based on initial observations in the field, if drawn in a straight line, the Rumija stretch appears to enter the courtyards of several hotels. We have scheduled a meeting with management to clarify this matter," said Akhmad in Bandung on Thursday (September 24, 2026).

Akhmad confirmed that the West Java Satpol PP prioritized clarification before taking physical action in the field.

The investigative team will directly review the ownership certificate and land documents held by the hotel management.

Next, the officer will match the document with the official asset data belonging to the Bandung City Government.

"We asked them to show proof of ownership. We will then compare this data with official data from the Bandung City government and the road operator," he said. (Apun)
