PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan, assessed that being an administrator and cadre of the Family Welfare Empowerment Team (PKK) is a noble task.

The reason is that the work of PKK administrators and cadres has an impact on empowering families and future generations.

"Several important programs that must be considered. Among them are eradicating stunting, family-based waste management, and strengthening food security and a healthy lifestyle," said Farhan during the Inauguration and Inauguration of the Bandung City TP PKK Management for the 2025-2030 term at the Bandung City Pendopo (3/18/2025).

"PKK has a very important role in building family resilience, with a focus on family health and well-being. We also need to involve fathers, not just mothers and children, in these programs," he continued.

Farhan emphasized that character education must start from the family. Parents who have good character will be able to educate children who have positive and responsible characters.
In addition, women's economic empowerment is also a major focus. Women who are economically empowered will have a stronger personality and be able to manage the family and community economy well.

On the same occasion, the Chairperson of the West Java Province PKK TP, Siska Gerfianti also provided encouragement and emphasized the importance of strengthening institutions to form a solid team in realizing work programs that are directly beneficial to the community.

"I am sure that with sincere devotion, we can strengthen the 10 main PKK programs that have been proven to have a positive impact on society," he said.

He hopes that the newly appointed PKK management can make the people of Bandung more empowered and prosperous, and further strengthen the spirit of mutual cooperation which is the main foundation in every work program.

In addition to the inauguration of the TP PKK management, on that occasion the inauguration of the TP Posyandu management and the Chairperson of the Bandung City Dekranasda was also held.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Bandung City PKK TP, Aryatri Farhan, expressed his gratitude to the previous Chairperson of the PKK TP, Mintarsih Koswara, who had carried out her duties well and succeeded in creating a more empowered society.

He believes that PKK and Posyandu are two main pillars in family and community development.

"PKK has a very important role in building prosperous families. Therefore, we must continue to prioritize partnership, self-reliance, and mutual cooperation in implementing government and regional programs," said Teh Aya, her nickname. (Bandung City Communication and Information Service/Fauziah)
