PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - To reduce the impact of pollution, the Bogor District Government (Pemdakab) through the Environmental Service (DLH) in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) conducted emission tests on two-wheeled and four-wheeled motorized vehicles, which took place in Nanggewer Village, Cibinong District , Tuesday (5/12/2023).
Bogor Regency DLH Partnership and Participation Sub-Coordinator, Surya Sumini, said that emission testing is one of the efforts to reduce air pollution, especially in Bogor Regency.
"This is the sixth emission test, thank God the results are quite satisfactory, 97% have passed the emissions test," he said.
According to him, this emission test, apart from reducing air pollution, can also maintain vehicles and determine whether the vehicle used is well maintained or not.
"If it is maintained, it will certainly not contribute to smoke which can cause air pollution, so the air in Bogor Regency will be clean," he said.
Meanwhile, Bojonggede resident Dani expressed his appreciation to the Bogor Regional Government for actively carrying out emissions tests.
"Emission testing is important, so that our vehicles remain healthy, but facilities and infrastructure must be increased so that there are not too many queues and cause traffic jams," he added. (rdp*)
