PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Starting from a group of school friends who wanted to channel the spirit of goodness, Teman Millenials has now developed into an active community in various social activities.

Based in Bandung City, this community is a forum for young people who want to contribute to social development and community empowerment.

With a mission to bring positive and sustainable impact, this community runs programs that focus on education, community empowerment, and social action in areas in need.

"We want to have a place where young people can gather, share ideas, and work together for something useful," said the General Chair of Teman Millenials, Firman, Wednesday (26/3/2026).

"From there, Teman Millenials was born as a community that could be a bridge between young people and society," he continued.

Over time, this community has grown by presenting various programs that directly affect the community.

One of its flagship programs is Bagi-Bagi Kanyaah (Babaka), an activity of sharing with people in need.

Babaka is carried out by going around the northern part of Bandung City to distribute food and basic necessities to the less fortunate.

Millenials Friends also has a Millenials Mengajar program, an initiative to provide education and mentoring to children in orphanages.

This program has been implemented in various orphanages in Bandung City, one of which is the Al-Fitra Orphanage, Cicendo.

Through this activity, the community wants to provide wider access to education and build a spirit of learning for children in need.
Running a social community is certainly not without challenges.

One of the biggest obstacles faced by Millennial Friends is building good communication with the community.

“There are often differences in perspective between us and the villagers, or even among the members themselves,” said Firman.

"But we believe that with intense and open communication, everything can be resolved," he continued.

This community hopes to have a bigger and more sustainable impact on the villages they help.

"We want to increase public awareness of the conditions of underdeveloped villages," he said.

As a community that was born and developed in Bandung, Teman Millenials continues to invite more young people to contribute to this social movement.
