PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Bekasi Regency Regional Secretary Endin Samsudin opened the Village-Owned Enterprises development program for the 2026 Fiscal Year for managers from 23 sub-districts at the KH Noer Ali Hall, Bekasi Regent's Building, Central Cikarang (26/6/2026) to improve governance, human resource capacity, and village business development.

Endin Samsudin said the training provided additional insight so that managers could develop the economic potential of each village.

"The potential within the village is actually already known by each manager. Through this training, we hope they will become more motivated and gain more knowledge, so that BUMDes in Bekasi Regency can progress and achieve greater success," he said.

Endin said that strengthening the capacity of managers is expected to result in increasingly developed village businesses and provide broader economic benefits for the community.

He assessed that the collaboration between Village-Owned Enterprises and the Merah Putih Cooperative could expand business opportunities through a clear division of functions.

"The Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) and the Merah Putih Cooperative are both government programs. If there's good collaboration with a clear division of functions, they can grow together and strengthen each other," he said.

Head of the Bekasi Regency Community and Village Empowerment Service, Iman Santoso, explained that coaching is a follow-up to periodic evaluations to improve the quality of village institutions and businesses.

Iman stated that strengthening governance, business development, and increasing human resource capacity are the main focuses to ensure the quality of BUMDes continues to improve.

In addition to coaching, the Bekasi Regency Government is also finalizing the Regent's Regulation on BUMDes as a legal basis for more professional village business management.

"Thank God, the Regent's Regulation on BUMDes has now entered the finalization stage. We aim to enact the regulation this year, providing a stronger foundation for BUMDes management and development," he explained.

Iman said a number of BUMDes have developed productive businesses such as egg-laying chicken farms, melon cultivation, and crafts made from water hyacinth.

According to him, strengthening administration, governance, and reporting will help the development of documented village businesses while increasing economic benefits for the community.

"BUMDes must be able to stimulate the community's economy, strengthen social functions, improve the quality of human resources and administration, and continue to develop the local potential of each village," he concluded.
