PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - In order to improve the competitiveness of the workforce, the Bekasi Regency Government (Pemkab) will hold foreign language training, especially English and Mandarin. That way, the Bekasi Regency workforce is expected to be absorbed by national and multinational companies investing in Bekasi.

"We want to form a generation of workers who are ready to compete in the global market, in addition to having technical skills," said Bekasi Deputy Regent Asep Surya Atmaja during a visit to PT Yili Indonesia Dairy and PT Maxxis International Indonesia, two large companies in the area, on Monday (21/4/2025).

In addition to training, to increase workforce absorption, the Bekasi Regency Government also expands job access by organizing job fairs and implementing skills training. The Bekasi Regency Government also provides transparent job vacancy information through official channels.

On the other hand, the Bekasi Regency Government appealed to all companies to be more active in absorbing workers from the surrounding areas.

"We will strengthen coordination with the industrial sector so that the recruitment of local workers is more massive and organized," said Asep.

The Bekasi Regency Government also encourages companies to increase social contributions through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program or social responsibility funds, especially in the fields of education, health, and community economic empowerment.

"The presence of industry must have a real impact on the welfare of residents, both economically and socially," said Asep.

In an effort to create a conducive investment climate, the Bekasi Regency Government ensures that the business licensing process is fast, transparent, and free from extortion. The practice of brokering in licensing and recruitment of workers will be eradicated.

"We ensure that all government services are free and open. We want to create a professional and trustworthy business climate," Asep concluded.
