PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Deputy Mayor of Bandung Erwin inspected the Paramarta Heart and Blood Vessel Hospital, a type C hospital which is now one of the heart health service centers in Bandung City.

During his visit, he committed to supporting health facilities that can be accessed by the entire community, including through the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and BPJS Kesehatan programs.

"We have implemented UHC well, around IDR 280 billion has been allocated to support public health services. Therefore, facilities such as hospitals must be ready to serve with a good system," said Erwin, Wednesday (3/26/2025)

"When it comes to heart disease, the emergency must be fast. The point is, if the hospital can accept BPJS or UHC, we will definitely support it," he said.

He admitted that there are still challenges in implementing BPJS. One of them is related to claim restrictions for patients.

"The problem now is that BPJS is limiting it. For example, if a patient with a fever is taken to the emergency room but their temperature is below 40 degrees, BPJS will not cover it," he said.

According to him, this regulation needs to be reviewed so that it is more in favor of the community.

Apart from that, Erwin appreciates the existence of Paramarta Hospital which has provided quality health services at more affordable costs compared to other hospitals.

"Alhamdulillah, after I reviewed it directly, the facilities, cleanliness, and services are very good. In fact, this hospital collaborates with foreign parties, so the quality is of international standard," he said.

He hopes that this hospital can continue to develop and provide wider benefits to the community, not only in Bandung but also in other cities.

"We are here not just as leaders or image builders, but to provide benefits to the community. UHC is not only for the poor, but for everyone," he said.

At the end of his visit, he invited all parties to support Paramarta Hospital to be better known and utilized by Bandung residents.

"I pray that this hospital will continue to develop and can open branches in other places. Thank you for being present in Bandung and helping the community with affordable and quality health services," he said.
