PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - To reach more people, Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Erwin proposed that Cheap Bazaars can be held in every sub-district in Bandung City. Moreover, Cheap Bazaars have proven to be able to maintain the stability of basic necessities prices.

"We will discuss with distributors and suppliers whether it is possible to hold a bazaar in each sub-district. At least a week before Eid, so that prices remain stable," said Erwin while reviewing the Cheap Bazaar in the yard of the Astanaanyar District Office, Wednesday (13/3/2025).

As is known, the Bandung City Government holds a Cheap Bazaar every time a National Religious Holiday (HBKN) approaches. Especially during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

This year, throughout Ramadan 1446 H is divided into two stages. The first stage was held on February 17-21, 2025. While the second stage took place on March 10-14, 2025. Each day, the Cheap Bazaar was held in three sub-districts.

"Alhamdulillah, this bazaar went smoothly. I am proud of the efforts of the Head of the Trade Service and the Astanaanyar Sub-district Head in maintaining price stability. From the results of the check, the price of basic necessities remains under control, except for chilies which experienced a slight increase," said Erwin.

While reviewing the Cheap Bazaar, Erwin also took the time to greet and chat with residents.

"Residents shop with peace of mind, because they know the stock of basic necessities is guaranteed," he said.

In addition to the Cheap Bazaar, the Bandung City Government has also conducted inspections at a number of markets, including the Caringin Main Market and Bulog, to ensure that the stock of basic necessities is safe for the next three months.
