PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan emphasized that the one-year Bandung Utama Program will bring inclusive development through the renovation of 2,100 houses, expansion of nutritious food, and strengthening of village cooperatives until December 1, 2025.

Farhan stated that this program directly addresses the needs of residents through the integration of health, economic, and housing policies that align with provincial and national agendas.

In the health sector, the Bandung City Government is expanding Free Nutritious Meals for students, pregnant and breastfeeding mothers to improve the nutritional quality of vulnerable groups throughout the region.

The Free Health Check Program for students was launched at SMP Negeri 5 to detect health problems early and strengthen promotive and preventive services.

A total of 151 Red and White Subdistrict Cooperatives were launched to strengthen small businesses through a sustainable mandatory and voluntary savings system.

In the housing sector, 1,785 uninhabitable houses were completely repaired according to the 2025 budget target with support from the central government and corporate social responsibility.

A total of around 2,100 housing units were renovated with assistance of IDR 25 million per unit spread across 25 sub-districts to improve housing quality and environmental health.

The program also helps reduce slum areas and supports the reduction of tuberculosis cases through improved sanitation and housing density.

"Bandung Utama is not just a slogan, but a concrete movement that directly addresses the needs of the community," said Farhan. (Bandung City Communications and Information Office/bhf)
