PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan emphasized the importance of collaboration in facing various city challenges, especially the impact of the extreme weather that is currently hitting.

According to information received from the central government, weather modification operations have currently been carried out by spreading chemicals above the clouds to reduce the impact of extreme weather.

"Hopefully the effects of this extreme weather can be reduced. According to the cycle, this event occurs once every 50 years. Currently, we are still in an emergency alert state," said Farhan during the Ramadan Safari in Bandung Wetan District, Monday (10/3/2025).

On that occasion, he also touched on the issue of educational infrastructure affected by the flood, such as SDN Sondariah in Gedebage.

"For us, school infrastructure must be a top priority because that is where we provide education for our children," he said.

According to Farhan, hard work and togetherness are needed to face this challenge.

He quoted Surah Ar-Ra'd verse 11 which states that change will only occur if humans try to change their own destiny.

"We must endeavor and work hard. This is not merely an order from the mayor, but for the sake of humanitarian values," he said.

He also emphasized that developing the city of Bandung requires synergy between the government and the community and all stakeholders.

"I always use the word 'we' because for Bandung, cooperation is needed. There is no rivalry, there is collaboration. God willing, we will solve the problems one by one," he said.

This Ramadan Safari is a real manifestation of synergy between the Bandung City Government (Pemkot), the private sector and all elements in building a better city.

This event was also attended by various elements of society, including the Forkopimda, regional framework heads, sub-district heads, village heads, and members of the West Java DPRD from the Bandung electoral district.

Their presence shows a shared commitment to building Bandung through a spirit of togetherness and collaboration.
