PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government has asked the new management of Perumda Tirtawening to immediately improve its finances so that the company's management is more integrated.

The Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan, tasked the Chairman of the Supervisory Board and the President Director to carry out consolidation and internal improvements to the company.

"We have given the task to the Chairman of the PDAM Supervisory Board and the PDAM Managing Director to immediately carry out improvements and also consolidation," said Farhan at Bandung City Hall (31/8/2026).

Financial consolidation is a priority because each business division of Perumda Tirtawening currently has unconsolidated accounts.

"Because the financial management is a bit odd. It has one core business, three divisions, and there's no single, consolidated financial manager or financial management," he said.

"So each business division has its own account that isn't consolidated into the parent company's account. That's odd. It shouldn't be like that," he continued.

These improvements are targeted at making corporate governance more professional while supporting the achievement of performance standards set by the Bandung City Government.

Perumda Tirtawening has a dividend target of IDR 16 billion by 2031 based on the company's performance contract with the local government.

Farhan emphasized that the company's targets are not only oriented towards dividends, but also other targets through the Work Plan and Budget (RKA).

"Although the performance contract for dividends is only IDR 16 billion until 2031, in practice, we will achieve the targets we want to achieve through the company's work plan, the RKA," he said.

Farhan has also not signed the 2027 Perumda Tirtawening RKA because he wants to study the document in more detail.

"I haven't signed the 2027 RKA yet because I want to read it in more detail," he said.

Regarding the President Director, Farhan confirmed that the selected figure comes from professional circles and is ranked first based on the results of the competency test.

"The CEO's background is professional, and the test results show he's in first place. So I have no pressure. Just wait and see what the results are," Farhan said.

According to him, performance is the main measure of public officials so that previous relationships or backgrounds are not taken into consideration in determining management.

"It's part of the consequences of holding public office. It's the same for me too. The most important thing is to fulfill all performance contracts," he said.

The process of forming the other board of directors is still ongoing, while the Supervisory Board is awaiting approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Management inauguration will be carried out after all stages are completed, with the 2027 RKA being one of the initial agendas that must be completed immediately.

"Waiting for everything to be completed. The important thing now is to finalize the RKA (Work Plan) discussions. The 2027 RKA, after that, we must focus on getting to work," he said.

The elected President Director began carrying out his duties at Perumda Tirtawening on (31/8/2026) to immediately implement the company's targets.

“It started today,” said Farhan.
